UTM Consistency Auditor

Stop your tags from splitting your reports.

Paste your tagged links — one per line, or a CSV. It parses every UTM in your browser and flags the inconsistencies that fragment your analytics: mixed casing, synonym mediums, near-duplicate campaigns, spaces, PII, and untagged links. Nothing leaves your device.

100% in-browser — free, unlimited, no upload, no sign-up.

How it works

  1. 1Paste your tagged links — one URL per line, or a CSV export of your campaign URLs.
  2. 2It parses every link's utm_source / utm_medium / utm_campaign (and the rest) right in your browser — nothing is uploaded or stored.
  3. 3It flags the mess that quietly splits your reports: mixed casing (Facebook vs facebook), synonym mediums (cpc vs ppc vs paid), near-duplicate campaign names, spaces, PII in tags, and links with no UTMs at all.
  4. 4You get issues grouped by type with the exact offending values, plus a clean naming convention to standardise on.

When to use it

  • Your GA4 / analytics splits one campaign across three rows because the tags don't match.
  • Multiple people build links by hand and everyone tags differently.
  • You're cleaning up tracking before a big campaign and want one consistent convention.

Frequently asked questions

Is the UTM Consistency Auditor free?

Yes — completely free and unlimited. It runs entirely in your browser, so there's no credit cost and no sign-up.

Do my links get uploaded anywhere?

No. All parsing happens locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server or stored — you can even use it offline once the page has loaded.

What can I paste in?

Either one URL per line, or a CSV/spreadsheet export of your links — it finds the column that holds URLs automatically. Both tagged and untagged links are fine; untagged ones are flagged.

What does it actually check?

Missing utm_source/medium/campaign, inconsistent casing of the same value, mixed medium vocabulary (cpc/ppc/paid_social treated as one channel), duplicate or near-duplicate campaign names, spaces in values, personal data (emails/phones) accidentally left in tags, and links with no UTMs at all.

Why does UTM consistency matter?

Analytics tools group by exact string. 'Facebook' and 'facebook' become two sources; 'summer_sale' and 'summer-sale' become two campaigns. Inconsistent tags fragment your reports and hide which campaigns actually work.
